Quick Take
Your Wellness Scan Balancing Protocol can include three categories of remedies: Herbal, Homeopathic, and Supplements (nutritional). Each one works through a different mechanism. Herbal remedies use plant compounds to directly support specific body functions. Homeopathic remedies use highly diluted substances to stimulate your body's own energetic balancing response. Nutritional supplements provide specific vitamins, minerals, and compounds your body needs as raw materials. They're not competing approaches. They're complementary layers, and your protocol may include all three because each addresses your stressors from a different angle.

Herbal Remedies
Herbal remedies are formulations made from plants, roots, bark, flowers, and other botanical sources. They contain active compounds that directly interact with your body's biochemistry to support specific functions.
In your Balancing Protocol, herbal remedies are typically liquid tinctures. They're labeled with what they traditionally support, things like antimicrobial activity, detoxification, digestive support, adrenal adaptation, or immune modulation.
Herbals work through direct biochemical action. The plant compounds enter your system and interact with specific pathways. An antimicrobial herb, for example, contains compounds that directly affect microbial activity in your gut. An adaptogenic herb contains compounds that modulate your stress response at the hormonal level.
What makes the herbals in your protocol different from a generic herbal recommendation is that each one was tested against your biological samples and verified in combination with your other remedies. You're not getting "an herb that's generally good for detox." You're getting the specific herbal formulation that your body responded to.
Homeopathic Remedies
Homeopathic remedies work on a fundamentally different principle than herbals or supplements. They use highly diluted substances to stimulate your body's own healing and balancing mechanisms.
The core idea behind homeopathy is that a substance that produces certain symptoms in large doses can, when highly diluted and prepared through a specific process, stimulate the body to resolve those same patterns. It's an energetic approach: the remedy communicates information to your system rather than delivering a pharmacological dose of an active compound.
This makes homeopathic remedies particularly well-suited to bioenergetic work. Your scan operates at the energetic level, detecting stress patterns in your body's energy field. Homeopathic remedies address those patterns at the same level. They're not overriding your body's chemistry. They're nudging your body's own intelligence toward balance.
In your protocol, homeopathic remedies are typically liquid formulations taken the same way as herbals: drops in warm water, twice per day. They're gentle, non-toxic, and work alongside your other remedies without interaction concerns.
Nutritional Supplements
Nutritional supplements are the most familiar category for most people. These are formulations that provide specific vitamins, minerals, amino acids, cofactors, or other compounds that your body uses as raw materials for its metabolic, structural, and regulatory processes.
If your scan reveals that certain nutritional markers are stressed (things like CoQ10 or Iron Deficiency, or other specific vitamin and mineral deficiencies), nutritional supplements address those gaps directly. They give your body the building blocks it needs to perform the functions your scan identified as compromised.
Nutritional supplements work at the biochemical and structural level. They're the most tangible of the three categories: your body literally uses the nutrients to build, repair, and run its systems.
On an Endurance Scan, your Balancing Protocol typically focuses on this category, since performance demands create specific, measurable nutrient requirements that are best addressed with targeted supplementation.
Why Your Protocol May Include All Three
Herbals, homeopathics, and supplements aren't interchangeable. They work at different levels of your body's function:
Supplements provide raw materials. They address the "what" your body needs.
Herbals support specific biochemical processes. They address the "how" your body functions.
Homeopathics stimulate your body's energetic self-regulation. They address the "why" your body's patterns persist.
A protocol that includes all three is addressing your stressors from multiple angles simultaneously: giving your body the nutrients it's missing, supporting the biochemical pathways that are under strain, and stimulating your body's own intelligence to rebalance at the energetic level.
This layered approach is why the full combination is synergy-tested against your samples. It's not just about whether each remedy works individually. It's about whether the complete set, across all three categories, produces a stronger combined response than any single category alone.
How to Take Them
Every formula will have general dosing instructions listed. You will notice some remedies have special timing instructions (ie take with food, or take on an empty stomach, etc.). Please schedule a consult or email us at hi@attuned.health with any dosing questions.
Homeopathic formulas are more potent if taken at least 20 minutes away from food/mint and other supplements, but this is not critical so please don't skip a dose just because you can't wait the 20 minutes.
All liquid formulas can be mixed in water, or dropped directly under your tongue. Keep in mind herbal formulas may have a bitter taste. If taste is an issue, you can dilute those in a small amount of juice.
A Note on Expectations
Different remedy types can produce different timelines of effect. Nutritional supplements may produce the most noticeable shifts first because they're addressing tangible deficiencies. Herbal remedies may take longer as the plant compounds build up and support shifts in specific pathways. Homeopathic remedies often work subtly and gradually, with their effects becoming most visible on your follow-up scan rather than as dramatic day-to-day changes. But everyone is different!
All three are working from the moment you start. The felt experience just varies. Trust the process, stay consistent, and let your next scan show you the full picture of what shifted.
